National Association of Remo Students Engages ACP Shehu Alao to Strengthen Student Safety Measures


The leadership of the National Association of Remo Students (NARS) National Headquarters recently paid a familiarization visit to the Sagamu Area Commander, ACP Shehu Alao, to discuss the welfare of students and address the security challenges facing the student constituency and the broader Remo community.

During this discussion, the focus was on the imperative need to ensure the safety and well-being of students in Remo, with an emphasis on proactive measures and fostering strong community collaboration.

ACP Shehu Alao demonstrated a deep commitment to student safety throughout the meeting, offering valuable insights into how security can be enhanced across the region. 

A key topic of discussion was the safety of students at Gateway Polytechnic (GAPOSA), especially in light of past incidents of kidnapping and robbery in the area.

The Association also raised concerns about a recent situation involving tension between local residents and students, as well as an alarming incident where individuals attempted to steal road fittings late at night. 

In response, ACP Alao provided direct contact information for local police officers, ensuring that students and residents can swiftly report any suspicious activity.

The Association expressed profound gratitude for ACP Alao's unwavering dedication to protecting students and pledged to continue working closely with law enforcement to bolster security measures.

Representatives from the National Association of Remo Students who attended the meeting included the Deputy Coordinator, Comr. Taiwo Ezekiel, the Welfare Director, Comr. Okulaja Kehinde Feyikemi, the Public Relations Officer, Comr. Sodiq Asoro (CLERIC), the Director of Special Duties, Comr. Lawal Taofeek (TFK), the Treasurer, Comr. Soyebo Rasheed Olayemi, and the Coordinator, Comr. Shittu Waheed O.

The Association remains steadfast in its commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for all students in Remo.
