The Christ Apostolic Grammar School Old Students Association (CAGSOSA) has officially commenced its 65th-anniversary celebration, a week-long event running from Monday, January 20, to Sunday, January 26, 2025. The celebration is set to unite alumni from various generations, showcasing a blend of nostalgia, community service, and exciting activities.

Opening Day Festivities
The celebration began on Monday, January 20, with an awareness campaign featuring current students and alumni. The procession moved from the school to the Garage area and the Alaperu Palace, returning to the school in a convoy led. This kickoff set the tone for a week filled with impactful programs.

On Tuesday, January 21, the activities will extend to a health talk and free medical examinations for widows and indigents, demonstrating the association’s commitment to community service.

Wednesday, January 22, will feature the school’s inter-house sports competition, celebrating the athletic spirit of students past and present.

Thursday, January 23, promises a blend of fun and talent with a novelty football match between the alumni and school teams, alongside an exhibition showcasing the creative talents of the students.

On Friday, January 24, attendees will gather for a special assembly and Jumat prayer session.

The grand finale on Saturday, January 25, will honor distinguished alumni with awards and recognition, coupled with the commissioning of impactful projects funded by the association.

The celebration will culminate on Sunday, January 26, with a thanksgiving service and the inauguration of the newly constructed school chapel.

CAGSOSA has introduced specific guidelines for the celebration to ensure uniformity and safety. Branded T-shirts will serve as the dress code for the first four days, while alumni will don the iconic school uniform on Friday and an exclusive Ankara fabric on Saturday, which will be distributed free of charge.

To ensure a memorable experience, all meals and drinks will be centrally coordinated by the association, with strict regulations prohibiting the use of glass bottles.

Donations from alumni are encouraged but remain voluntary. Additionally, interested alumni can join the novelty football match by submitting their participation requests. A detailed program brochure, including opportunities for paid adverts and greetings, will be available, with submissions closing on January 19.

A key feature of the event is the designated seating arrangements, ensuring each graduating set sits together, fostering a sense of unity and nostalgia.
