The National Association of Remo Students (NARS) has issued an urgent notice to its members following reports of alarming incidents around the campus and its environs.

These events, which allegedly include cases of female students falling victim to crimes linked to suspected ritual activities, have sparked serious safety concerns.

According to the notice signed by Comr. Saheed Shittu, NARS Coordinator, along with Comr. Okulaja Kehinde Feyikemi, the Welfare Director, and Comr. Asoro Sodiq, the Public Relations Officer, the incidents have resulted in severe psychological trauma for the victims.

The association revealed that three female students have reportedly been affected, with some experiencing mental health challenges linked to these crimes. NARS described the situation as a grave reminder of the dangers that may exist within the community, urging students to remain vigilant.

In the statement, NARS strongly advised students to avoid interactions with unfamiliar individuals or groups offering enticing promises. They also emphasized the need to avoid attending night parties or gatherings hosted by unknown persons or held in secluded locations.

“We strongly urge all students to exercise extreme caution and safeguard their well-being,” the statement read. “Be vigilant of strangers attempting to befriend you or gain your trust, and always keep your personal belongings secure while remaining aware of your surroundings.”

The association also encouraged students to report suspicious activities to the authorities promptly, reiterating the need for collective vigilance to ensure everyone’s safety.

NARS assured members of its commitment to their welfare and urged students to look out for one another during this challenging period.

For further inquiries or to report suspicious activities, students are encouraged to reach out to the association’s leadership or the appropriate security channels.
